- The only designated sledding area we know of is in the Flagstaff area and there are no designated sledding areas nearby - we don't even suggest where sledding hills are due to all the safety concerns. There are several forest hillsides that could provide fun sledding, but you need to find the sledding areas for yourselves. Please remember that people have their private property here in the subdivision just like your backyard, and that is not part of the forest for everyone.
- Be smart and considerate, un-plowed roads get even the 4x4's stuck and the narrow subdivision roads have winter parking restrictions.
- We do not have any sled rentals here, but Camper's Country Store here in Forest Lakes has sleds for sale.
- Crashing into the snow can be part of the sledding fun, but be extra careful where you choose to sled! Look for obvious obstructions such as stumps, logs, trees, boulders and vehicles. Our EMT's really cringe when they see sledding on the roads and sleds pulled with a vehicles, ATVs and snowmobiles. Unfortunately every year the ambulance gets called out for head, back and leg injuries. Have a safe sledding time.
