Rustic Rim Hideaway provides the finest hideaway cabins in Arizona. We are near the Woods Canyon Lake area, about 36 miles east of Payson in the small town of Forest Lakes. At an elevation of 7570', we have cool summers, colorful falls, snow-covered winters, and always a great get-away. We are not on the highway, and the Sitegreaves National Forest is at our back door, with thousands of acres. The cabins are CLEAN FULLY FURNISHED, two-story, five room A"-frames about 800 square feet total with a porch in front (The 3BR is six rooms, 1000 square feet with an additional bedroom downstairs). They are knotty-pine inside, carpeted upstairs and in the living area. Upstairs rear bedroom comes with two single (twin-size) beds. Upstairs in the front is a bedroom with a queen bed. All beds are comfortable firm (no extra-firms). There is a child gate to place at the top of the steps for little ones. Downstairs is the porch, living area, dinette, kitchen, and bath. Each cabin has a nice sofa and free 65-channel Satellite TV with HBO, Cinemax, Disney, Nickelodeon, and much more. You are welcome to bring your VCR. Linens, blankets, and pillows are provided for the beds (When pets are brought you must bring your own blankets!). Sorry, we do not provide maid or linen service during your stay. The bath contains a shower/bath combination (ideal for infants and adults) and pastel towels (please bring extra towels if you require more than one set per person, as we only supply the one set for each person for your stay). Each cabin has a 20 gallon hot water heater. The kitchen contains a FULL-SIZE refrigerator, a FULL-SIZE range/oven, microwave, electric coffee maker, coffee filters, toaster, two basin sink, pots, pans, silverware, dishes, glasses, tumblers, wine-glasses, utensils such as can-opener, bottle-opener, wine-bottle opener, pizza-cutter, tongs, knives, cutting board, cheese-grater, potato-masher, ladels, wire-wisk, measuring cups/spoons, ice-trays, cookie-sheet, tupperware, pitchers, and steak-knives! All kitchen items are double-cleansed and sanitized prior to your use! Also provided are dish-soap, sos-pads, dish-cloths & towels, trashbags, and mop-up towels! Thats a carload of kitchen stuff you don't have to pack or forget! You don't even have to buy charcoal or lighter fluid, since a gas-grill is provided!
Next to the kitchen is the dinette set, and the living area in front. The living area has the sofa, a rocker/recliner (2 BR), and the fireplace. The fireplace, a wood burning stove with glass doors and flagstone hearth show the fire nicely. The fireplace is the primary source of heat, and it will definitely keep it toasty inside. We provide you with plenty firewood and kindling already split for the interior fireplace only. Each cabin has a patio table with 4 chairs out front. Night-lights and emergency lighting are provided in each cabin. In the COMMON AREA, for all guests to use, is a horseshoe set (weather providing) and Forest-backing fire-pit (BYOW) for marshmallow and weenie roasts, and a patio table with 4 chairs. There are not any laundry facilities or telephones in the cabins, but Cellular-1 analog phones do roam in our area.
Parking is physically limited to two vehicles per cabin, so please carpool if you have large groups.

All cabins are non-smoking cabins, however you may smoke outside.
You do need to bring paper-towels, napkins, aluminum-foil, saran-wrap, roasting pans, oversize kettles, rolling-pins, pie-pans, bread or muffin pans, blenders, dish gloves, spices (salt, pepper, sugar, etc.), coffee, cooking-oil, ice, and food.
